Tea & Telly!2026

Tea & Telly is a pop-up exhibition celebrating Hastings’ historic place at the birth of broadcasting, which took place in Queen’s Arcade just over 100 years ago. The event, hosted by the British Tea Museum, is being organised by Screen Culture UK, a charity working towards launching a museum of television here in the town. It will feature a ‘history of telly’ timeline and a pair of contrasting 20th-century living rooms, and friendly volunteers will be giving out free cups of tea. Entry is free, and there’ll be a short online survey where you can share your thoughts about the museum project. Event in aid of Screen Culture UK Free event.
